How Panchangeekam collects, uses, and protects your information.

This Privacy Policy explains how Panchangeekam ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and safeguards information when you visit or use panchangeekam.com (the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the Service.
Panchangeekam provides Vedic astrology calculations — including Panchang, Tarabalam, Chandrabala, Panchaka Rahita Muhurta, and related tools — computed from the date, time, and location you provide.
Information you provide directly. To perform a calculation, you may enter or select a date, a city or geographic coordinates, and, where relevant, a birth star (Nakshatra) or birth Rasi. This information is used solely to compute the requested astrological result. We do not require your name, date of birth as an identity record, or any other personally identifying information to use the Service's free features.
Information collected automatically. Like most websites, our servers automatically log standard technical information when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type, device type, and the pages you request. This is standard web server behavior used for operating and securing the Service — for example, diagnosing errors and protecting against abuse — and is not used to build a profile of you or track you across other websites.
Location you choose to share. If you use the "Use my location" feature, your browser requests your device's geographic coordinates with your explicit permission. Those coordinates are used only to match you to the nearest supported city for that session and, if you choose, to save that city as your preferred location as described in Section 3. We do not store your precise coordinates.
When you select a city, we save that preference in your browser's local storage so you don't have to re-select it on future visits. Local storage is a standard browser feature that keeps a small piece of data on your own device — it is not transmitted to or stored on our servers, and it is not accessible to any other website. You can clear it at any time by clearing your browser's site data for panchangeekam.com.
The Service does not currently use tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or third-party analytics scripts. If this changes in the future, this policy will be updated in advance and, where required by law, we will request your consent.
We use the information described above only to: (a) perform the astrological calculations you request; (b) operate, maintain, and secure the Service; (c) diagnose technical problems and improve accuracy; and (d) respond to inquiries you send us. We do not use your information for advertising, and we do not sell, rent, or trade your information to any third party.
We do not share, sell, or disclose your information to third parties for their own marketing or commercial purposes. We may disclose information if required to do so by law, or in good faith belief that such action is necessary to comply with a legal obligation, protect the safety of users, or protect against fraud or technical/security issues.
The Service is hosted on infrastructure operated by a third-party cloud provider (currently Amazon Web Services). That provider may process technical server logs as part of standard hosting operations, subject to its own security and privacy practices.
Astrological calculations are performed on request and are not stored against any personal identity. Standard server access logs (Section 2) are retained only for the limited operational period needed for security and diagnostic purposes, after which they are routinely deleted or overwritten. Location preferences saved via local storage (Section 3) remain on your device until you clear them or they are cleared automatically by your browser.
Panchangeekam does not currently require an account to use any of its free features, and no payment information is currently collected. If account creation or paid features are introduced, this policy will be updated in advance to describe what additional information is collected and how it is protected, before those features go live.
The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us using the details in Section 11 so we can address it.
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect the limited information we handle. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Panchangeekam is used by visitors from many countries. By using the Service, you understand that information may be processed in the United States, where our hosting infrastructure is located, which may have different data protection laws than your home country.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time as the Service evolves. Material changes will be reflected by an updated effective date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
